Bonjela Cold Sore Cream contains a cream based on the Active Medical Ingredient UV-Active™, which is effective against cold sores caused by herpes simplex virus type-1 (HSV-1).

Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex or ‘cold sore’ virus. They are extremely infectious and you can easily pass them from person to person by close direct contact (for example by kissing). You are most likely to pass on the virus when the cold sore bursts, but they are still infectious until they have completely healed and disappeared.

Bonjela Cold Sore Cream creates an invisible protective film layer on the skin cells of the cold sore and prevents attachment of virus particles to the cells.

How To Use

Take a pea sized amount of cream using your fingers and apply a thin layer of over the cold sore. Use at least 4 times a day for 4 – 5 days. Wash your hands after each application.
