Covid-19 Vaccinations

Fantastic news as pharmacists are set to help vaccinate the public against Covid-19.

Where will you be getting your vaccine??

We are delighted to say that we will be delivering the Covid-19 vaccine here at Lavelle’s Pharmacy. Pharmacies are located in communities and they are the most accessible part of the health care system for most people, and so will make it easier for many to secure their Covid Vaccine.

Vaccination Information

The Janssen vaccine is a single dose vaccine. It takes 14 days for the vaccine to work. This is when you are fully vaccinated.

Vaccination is open to those aged 18 and above, who have not received the first dose of any other Covid-19 vaccine.

The Pfizer vaccine is a two dose Covid vaccine. You will get your second dose 4 weeks after your first. It takes 7 days after the 2nd dose for the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to work.

The Pfizer vaccine is available in selected stores and can be given to those aged 12 years and over.
