Infant colic can have many causes. In some cases, it is caused by temporary lactose intolerance. This can cause discomfort commonly known as colic and characterised by lengthy periods of distressed crying.

Suitable from birth, Colief Infant Drops are completely natural and help break down lactose into simpler sugars, glucose and galactose, making it easier for your baby to digest their feeds and reducing their discomfort. Colief contains lactase enzyme and can be used every time you feed your baby, with breast milk or infant formula. At around 3 to 4 months a baby’s digestive system will naturally cope better with lactose and usually symptoms will disappear.

If symptoms persist you can continue to use Colief Infant Drops for as long as it is needed.

How To Use

*** Always read the information leaflet enclosed before use***

WHEN BREASTFEEDING: 

• Add a few tablespoons of breast milk into a sterilised container.
• Add 4 drops of Colief Infant Drops.
• Give this to your infant on a sterilised spoon before breastfeeding.
• Breastfeed as normal.

WHEN USING FORMULA:

• Prepare the formula.
• Add 4 drops of Colief Infant Drops to the warm formula. (make sure it’s not hot)
• Wait 30 minutes, shaking the formula occasionally, then feed as normal
• Discard any unused formula.

WHEN MAKING FORMULA IN ADVANCE:

• Prepare your  formula
• Add 2 drops of Colief Infant Drops to the warm formula. (not hot)
• Refrigerate it for a minimum of 4 hours before use and use within 12 hours.
• Feed as normal making sure that the formula is at the correct temperature.
• Discard any unused formula.

WHEN USING READY-MADE FORMULA:

• Warm the formula.
• Add 4 drops of Colief Infant Drops to the warm (not hot) formula.
• Wait 30 minutes, shaking the formula occasionally, then feed as normal, making sure that the formula is at the correct temperature.
• Discard any unused formula.

CAUTION:  Once opened keep refrigerated and discard after 6 weeks.
