Olive Oil the mainstay of the famed Mediterranean diet as it is a ‘good’ fat and can help lower cholesterol.
The oil is also a home remedy for softening ear wax and as a mild laxative. Olive Oil can be used in aromatherapy but other, lighter, oils are usually preferred as carrier oils – olive oil does carry a slight scent. A few drops are often added, particularly in massaging mature or dry skin.
